Join Cork actress Rachel Sarah Murphy, best known for playing Jo in Fair City, for a practical 10-week acting programme designed to build confidence, develop performance skills and introduce participants to internationally recognised acting techniques.
Separate programmes will be available for adults and children, with the course content and exercises adapted to suit each group. No previous acting experience is required.

What You’ll Learn

Explore focus, preparation and the repetition exercise while learning to respond naturally and truthfully in performance.

Use Hagen’s Nine Questions to explore character motivation, make informed acting choices and bring characters to life.

Learn about emotional recall and sense memory, using personal experience to support authentic performance.

Put the techniques into practice through script analysis, character development, rehearsed scene work and in-class performances. Participants will receive feedback and guidance before preparing their final piece.

The final class will include a question-and-answer session about the acting profession, along with practical guidance on auditions, preparation, rehearsal and building confidence as a performer.

The programme will culminate in a special Christmas Showcase at [venue], giving participants the opportunity to present what they have learned before a live audience.
Selected work may also be filmed as part of the course and final showcase. Parent or guardian consent will be required for all participants under 18.
