The programme includes Health & Wellness sessions to be enjoyed by everyone, as well as Breakout Workshops chosen at booking.
Breakout Workshops are confirmed in advance and allocated on a first come, first served basis.

      A fun, energetic and easy to follow class using repetitive dance movements and cardio bursts designed so everyone can join in and enjoy

      A talk covering a snap-shot of tips to support healthy ageing:

    • Nourishing Light Lunch

      Our professional chef will prepare a delicious light lunch of homemade soup, and nourishing nibbles linked to and working with our Nutritional presentation by Ali Dorgan.

    • Therapeutic Floral Art

      The therapeutic benefits of Art, Creativity and working with nature will be demonstrated by Mary Halligan as you sit and digest your lovely lunch.

    • Get Serious about Strength

      A beginner-friendly intro to strength training with a guided home workout you can actually stick to. Learn the fundamentals, move together, and ask anything you’ve ever wondered about getting stronger.

    • Reclaim rest

      Racing thoughts keeping you awake? Join Michelle for practical, easy-to-use tools to calm your nervous system and improve your sleep. This session includes a brief discussion followed by techniques you can take home and use immediately.

    • Guided Relaxation

      We'll close with a gentle, restorative guided relaxation to help you integrate today's insights while creating deep peace and renewal. You'll leave feeling centered, supported, and reconnected to your own capacity for healing and transformation.

Morning Breakout Workshop options to choose from:
  • Feeling lost in the fog of menopause? You don't have to navigate it alone. Michelle shares supportive supplements, lifestyle practices and emotional wellness strategies to help you feel more like yourself during this transition. Drawing from her extensive experience and (soon to be published) work, she'll offer practical guidance for emotional balance.

  • A gentle, feel-good yoga session focused on releasing tight hips and hamstrings, improving mobility and balance and easing everyday stiffness and tension. Happy hips – happy days

Afternoon Breakout Workshop options to choose from:
  • Gentle Chair stretches for flexibility combined with powerful breathing techniques to maximise the benefits of this unique afternoon session

  • This session focuses on simple, effective movement to help the body move better and feel more comfortable in everyday life.

    Using basic mobility work, breathing, and controlled movement, participants will work through common areas of stiffness and tension that build up through daily routines. The session is suitable for all levels, with movements adapted to individual ability. No prior experience is required.

    The emphasis is on effective movement, body awareness, and leaving with tools that can be used beyond the session.

    The session is being offered on a time up basis as part of a fundraiser in support of Great Island Theatre, recognising the important role creativity, connection, and community play in supporting collective wellbeing.

Meet some of your facilitators

Michelle A. Hardwick

Michelle has been supporting people as a holistic therapist for over 25 years, working with clients both overseas and online before settling in Cobh 16 years ago. She believes in empowering people with tools they can use in their daily lives, blending emotional support with tangible techniques for lasting change. Michelle is passionate about helping women (and their partners) navigate life's transitions with ease, grace and resilience.

Mary Halligan

Mary Halligan is a qualified horticulturist and florist with a lifelong passion for nature. She has won multiple flower-arranging awards at both local and national level.

Mary is also qualified in Social and Therapeutic Horticulture, using creativity and connection with nature to support wellbeing in a calm, accessible and uplifting way.

Aileen Warbrook

Yoga has always been part of my life and once I made the decision to commit to two years of comprehensive teacher training, I never looked back. It gives me so much pleasure to see people leave class feeling better than they arrived and realising just how powerful and strong they really are.

Adam McCarthy

Nebula Coaching is a Cobh-born fitness business that has been supporting the local community for over six years. Through premium small-group personal training, Nebula helps men and women aged 18–66 build strength, fitness, and confidence under expert coach guidance.

Ali Dorgan

Ali Dorgan is a Nutritionist and Neuromuscular Therapist based in Newtown, Cobh. She works with clients across nutrition, injury treatment and sports therapy, supporting areas such as digestive health, hormones, energy and overall wellbeing. At the Wellness Day, Ali will share practical nutrition tips to support healthy ageing and long-term health.

Trevor Cummins

Trevor Cummins is a qualified coach and endurance athlete with over 20 years’ experience supporting movement, sport and health in community settings. He is passionate about creating accessible, welcoming spaces where people of all ages and abilities can build positive, sustainable relationships with physical activity

Deirdre O'Shaughnessy

Deirdre O'Shaughnessy is Opinion Editor at the Irish Examiner and host of The Deirdre O’Shaughnessy Podcast. She lives in Cobh with her family. 

Malgorzata Krempska-Saluda

Malgorzata Krempska-Saluda (Margo) is a fitness instructor with nearly three decades of experience, teaching since 1997. With a passion for movement, dance, and wellbeing, she specialises in Zumba, functional training, step, and Pilates. Margo is also Front of House Manager at Coral Leisure Cobh, a role she has held since 2009. Her Zumba classes are fun, energetic, and easy to follow, using repetitive dance movements and cardio bursts designed so everyone can join in and enjoy themselves.

Randeep Gill

Randeep Gill is a Canadian chef with over 30 years of experience in French and globally inspired cuisine. He has opened and consulted for award‑winning restaurants across Canada before moving to Ireland with his wife ten years ago. In Dublin, he launched a restaurant in Blanchardstown and later led a Dublin 4 café to multiple Food & Wine shortlistings for Best Café in Ireland. Randeep’s cooking blends technique, creativity, and international flavour — all delivered with the passion of a chef who simply loves good food.
